Sakura cherry blossoms have started blooming in Koyasan. They bloom later than the other parts of Japan because Koyasan is located high up in the mountain. Famous weeping sakura in front of Kogobuji Temple is not blooming yet though. After the long cold winter, spring has finally come to Koyasan.
