We were blessed to see gorgeous Nachi Waterfall after yesterday’s lots of rain. The amount of water is three times as much as usual. Three streamed waterfall has become a one stream waterfall.

昨日の雨のおかげで稀に見るゴージャスな那智の滝に出会えました。昨日の熊野古道の雨はこの滝を見るためだったのね😄

I walked from Hosshinmon Oji to Kumano Hongu Shrin

I walked from Hosshinmon Oji to Kumano Hongu Shrine with my guests in the rain. Actually I have walked this course many times, but this is the first time for me to walk this course in the rain. I had been so lucky so far.

これまで何回も歩いてきた発心門王子から熊野本宮大社までのコース、実はこのコースでは今まで雨に降られたことがなかったんです。でも遂に今日は雨に降られました😂今までが本当にラッキーの連続だったんですね🤣

白浜でエアーショーに遭遇！
世界的に有名な室屋義秀さん操縦
午後2時から2回目のショーがあるそうです。
会場は白良浜上空です。

高野山でまだ咲いていた対面桜🌸🌸🌸
平安時代、落雷で焼失した大塔の修造奉行として指揮をとったのが平清盛。そして修造が終わり、供養のために高野山に登った際に、清盛は一人の老僧に会います。その老僧は清盛の功績を讃え、少しいったところで姿が消えてしまったと言われています。清盛は、「あの人は弘法大師に違いない」と信じたことから、平清盛と弘法大師が対面した場所にあったこの桜は対面桜と呼ばれるようになりました。
高野山でも季節は進み、桜から石楠花へと変わりつつありました。あと1週間もすれば満開の石楠花が見られるでしょう。
そして、今日も高野山ミュージアムに併設されている「カフェ雫」で精進カレーをいただきました。デザートはあんみつ！今日も美味しゅうございました😄

高野山奥之院一の橋近くに4月30日、「天風テラス」がオープンします。天風テラスのマスコット、「あまかぜてらすちゃん」だそうです。イメージは小学校一年生の女の子。真言密教のメインブッダ、大日如来様の親戚のお友達だそうです。

天風テラス
高野山に新しい風が吹きます。　
一之橋から中の橋駐車場側に少し歩いたところに、とてもおしゃれなテラスができます。4月30日オープンです。今日は内覧会ということでお招きに与かりました。高野山観光で一息つきたい時にちょっと寄ってみるのに欲しかったカフェです。和歌山県のお土産物も数多く揃えられています。
A new cafe “Tempu Terrace” will be opened near Ichinohashi bridge, the entrance to Okunoin in Koyasan on April 30, 2023. You can relax over a cup of coffee and enjoy the atmosphere surrounded by nature.

I visited three grand shrines of Kumano with 13 gu

I visited three grand shrines of Kumano with 13 guests from many countries. We were welcomed warmly by Kumano Kamis(deities). They learned the word Kami instead of deity or god. The spring festival of Kumano Grand Shrine will begin from the day after tomorrow(April 13).

13人のゲストと一緒に昨日（4/10)、今日（4/11)熊野三山を巡りました。熊野は今回も優しく迎えてくれました。皆さん、ゴッドではなく、神という言葉を覚えてくれました。明後日（4/13）から熊野本宮大社の春の例大祭が始まります🌸🌸🌸

I spent three days in Koyasan with 13 guests American, UK, Australia, Austria, Italy, Sweden,HongKong, and Kazakhstan. These photos were taken by my guest. This is my most favorite Jizo in Okunoin cemetery.

高野山も京都や大阪のような（？）混み具合😱
今日から始まる高野山＆熊野ツアーのために珍しく電車、ケーブルカー、バスと乗り継いで高野山にやってきました。
金剛峯寺前の枝垂れ桜、かなり色づいてきましたよ。

巷では綺麗に咲いてくれた桜もそろそろ終わりですね。でも高野山の桜はこれからです。昨日（4月2日）と今日（4月3日）と続けて高野山をガイドさせてもらいましたので、高野山の桜情報をお伝えしたいと思います。
高野山の桜の満開は通年4月20日前後ですが、やはり高野山の桜も今年は早そうです。金剛峯寺前の枝垂れ桜も来週には咲いてくれそうです。その他、もうすでに咲いている桜もあります。今年は開花が早かったので、せっかく海外から桜を見にいらっしゃったのに桜を見れなかったお客様にはぜひ高野山をお勧めくださいませ🌸🌸🌸

We left Kawayu Onsen for Shingu early in the morning. We visited the second grand shrine, Hatayama Grand shrine and then visited Kamikura shrine, where it is believed that Kumano god was first descended. We claimed 538 natural stone steps with our hands and knees. Then on the way to the third shrine, Nachi Grand shrine, surprisingly we were interviewed by TV crews, which is going to be on air on April 17th. After being interviewed, we walked Daimon slope and climbed another 467 steps. We climbed many steps today. Finally we paid our respects to Nachi waterfall.
We visited three grand shines and three objects of natural worship in this tour.

We started Kumano Kodo pilgrimage route trail from Takijiri oji, the entrance to Kumano mountains, to Takahara. We walked about 4 kilometers, which was quite steep especially for the first one kilometer. we climbed up about 300meters in 1 kilometer.Though it was tough, we made it!!!
After a tough walking, we enjoyed Onsen, hot spring at Kawayu Onsen in Kumano town.
